Issue #1…and beyond

Issue #1 launched on the 14th. If you missed getting your limited edition, highly collectible, issue, no worries. You can download the back issue here

Issue #2 is in progress. We’ll be rolling out issue #2 next week, Tuesday, the 27th. This will be the 2nd issue of the 3 that we will be launching in the 2007 - 2008 school year before we take a break over the summer. Yes, that’s right, a break. While we love producing The Weekly Enema, we just don’t think that there will be enough people on campus over spring summer break to warrant producing issues. Don’t worry, we plan on producing content for the web page and probably will get to something close to an update schedule.

I’ve been tweaking the front page over the past weeks. The most visible changes are the addition of front page images for the stories and Digg / Share This icons within the stories.

(Share This) is a service to share stories on AIM, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and social networking / social book marking sites. What does this mean? When you read a story you like, share it using the share this icon found within each story!

We will keep you updated on any changes to the release schedule here, but for now expect to see us on Tuesday, the 27th, in the EMU courtyard passing out copies of Issue #2 of The Weekly Enema. You can [OBEY] Subscribe to The Weekly Enema’s RSS feed or to the Weekly Enema Development Blog’s [OBEY] RSS feed.

Hello world!

Welcome to the Weekly Enema. Sort of. We’re getting really close to launching. The first issue is about to be Put To Bed  (Jackson tells me thats newspaper speak for finished) so soon a hot festering pile of Enema will be off the presses and in your hands! [Ed note: Change language in this paragraph. Who wants a nice festering enema in their hands?]

The site is going through some final tweaking while we introduce new content to it. We have 20 back issues of The Weekly Enema from its University of Washington beta run that we’re scanning, digitizing, and then assessing for viability on this site.

And then burning.

Oh god, some of those original issues…

Look forward to the launch of Weekly Enema Issue #1 (Kids! Collect all the covers! They’ll be hot on the secondary market!) early next week!
